Manasvinee Mayil Vahanan

Manasvinee Mayil Vahanan is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland in Biology: Physiology and Neurobiology and Spanish. She will be an incoming Master’s student at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai studying Biomedical Sciences. With an interest in research, Manasvinee has been a part of two different psychology-based labs. In her first two years of undergraduate, she had the opportunity to be involved with the First-Year Innovation and Research Experience Program and worked as a research assistant focusing on substance abuse and cognitive control. In her Junior and Senior years, she worked as a research assistant in the Developmental Social Cognitive Neuroscience Lab where she researched differences in social interaction between neurotypical children and children with autism spectrum disorder. Manasvinee has served as a co-project leader for the India project and co-Vice President of Public Health beyond Borders and has spearheaded efforts to trademark and implement branding initiatives to expand the organization to a national platform. She is excited to further promote PHBB and its mission!
