Elias Laskey

Elias joined PHBB in 2020 as an undergraduate at the University of Maryland, College Park, where they were part of the Global Public Health Scholars Program. During their time with the organization, she served as Peru Project Leader and Co-President as well as represented PHBB in the Do Good Challenge, placing third. She also worked as a Communications Intern for PHBB Inc., developing toolkits for chapters and fundraising materials. Elias graduated from UMD in 2024 with a degree in Neuroscience and now works as a Lab Technician in the Vlasits Lab, studying the impact of neurodevelopmental disorders on visual processing in the retina at the University of Illinois, Chicago. They are excited to continue to be a part of the organization and provide a research perspective as the Secretary and the Monitoring and Evaluation Subcommittee Lead.
